Biography

Charalampos Pampoukis holds a Law degree from the University of Paris I – Panthéon – Sorbonne, as well as a state-accredited Doctorate in Law from the same institution.

He has served in high-ranking positions within the Hellenic Government, including as Minister of State to the Prime Minister and Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In recognition of his contributions, he has been awarded the rank of Commandeur of the Legion of Honour by the French Republic. He is an Emeritus Professor of Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (appointed in 1991) and a founding partner at the law firm “Pamboukis-Maravelis-Nikolaidis & Associates” established in January 2004.

Since 2020, he has served as Director of the Hellenic Institute of International and Foreign Law. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Athens International Airport (since June 2016), the Aktor Group of Companies (since July 2022), Alter
Ego Media (since October 2024) and Danaos Corporation (since May 2025).

Since 2024, he has been a member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and, since August 2025, he has also been a member of the Institute of International Law (Institut de Droit international).
