Biography
Antony Anghie was born in Sri Lanka; received the degrees of B.A and LL.B from Monash University, qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Victoria, Australia and completed his SJD at Harvard Law School. He then joined the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he is a Professor of Law, holding a concurrent appointment as Professor of Law at the National University of Singapore. He also serves as the head of the TRILA Programme at the Centre for International Law at NUS. He has been a visiting professor at several universities, including the University of Tokyo, Brasilia, the American University of Cairo, Harvard and Cambridge. He received the Manley O. Hudson medal from the American Society of International Law in 2023. He is a member of the Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) network of scholars.
